Sometimes it is useful to mull over an idea or take time researching and planning to really form your piece of work. And other times it is just as, if not more useful to simply let chaos reign and let the ideas flow. What you find in this way of working is never a perfect, fully formed masterpiece, but you will allow yourself a creative drain to get past any bad ideas that are lingering in you mind, draw out all the good potential ideas which have probably been swimming around your brain for too long and need testing. That drain of ideas also frees you up to create some truly unique and innovative work in the future. This is just such a time. Every day through February I will be spending an hour or so writing a short play and posting them on this blog. Eventually I will have 28 short plays. Some of them may be explorations of ideas that I've had for a while; others will be completely spontaneous. Some will have the potential to become great pieces of work to add to my portfolio; others will be a dead end. So follow along for creative drain, and maybe contribute your own.
